The “Club of Joy” project for work with disadvantaged children, children at risk and gifted children.
The project objectives are the integration and inspiration of the rising generation with the help and the means of art. The idea is not new. It is borrowed from already approved European models for work with children, but it is the first time it is used in the school environment – where children spend most of their time and where they try to find their place in the school community. Their integration through music, dance, art and theatre brings them joy and fun, creating a sense of spiritual satisfaction in the process of their development.
In December 2010, the “Club of Joy" opened its doors to children from "Prof. Dr. Zlatarov" school in the town of Parvomay with a charity concert of the pop-rock band Jimix from Germany. The musicians arrived especially for the opening of this new project which has a priority focus on disadvantaged, troubled and talented children from the school. Jimix gave many autographs and became friends with their charming audience. The professional musicians and the students made their first meeting memorable and marked the beginning of a good method for working with children through the arts in the school environment.

More events followed, such as the concert of the Bulgarian rock band John Steel, "Olinezko" puppetry for healthy eating, a masquerade for June 1, the Children's Day, but Jimix gathered the most fans among all. The children invited the band to visit us again. The musicians began their tour in March 2011 and their first concert was at "Prof. Dr. Zlatarov" school, town of Parvomay, especially for their youngest fans and again for charity. In response to their gesture the student rock band Red Grouse showed them their musical abilities and the professional musicians from Germany applauded them loudly together with the huge audience in the assembly hall of the school. The communication between children of different age groups, different social layers and different ethnic groups was made possible thanks to music! The inspiration was the beginning!
Art attracts young people and they are no longer just an audience! They have a desire to create ideas and carry them out! We support them!!! Do you?
